Our Board & Members
As the planning commission over Barton, Jasper, Newton, and McDonald counties, the counties themselves and all municipalities located within them can pay membership dues to receive help from the Truman Council. We will help with the application of grants, administration of grants awarded, and use the money from the fees for match funding for economic development planning grants. The majority of these fees go towards helping hire additional planners to support our communities. We hold board meetings bi-monthly and they are open to the public. We encourage community members to attend.
Although our meetings and board is open to the public, we have an executive board that votes on decisions for the Truman Council.
