Community Development Planning

CDBG is an important tool in helping local governments tackle the most serious challenges facing their communities. The CDBG program has made a difference in the lives of millions of people living in communities all across this Nation.

HeRO Program
This program offers home-repair grants up to $20,000 for owner-occupied homes in many communities in Missouri. Eligible repairs include accessibility improvements, weatherization and lead reduction.
 

MHDC Rental Housing Production
Provides funding to developers for the acquisition and rehabilitation or new construction of rental housing for low and moderate income families. The MHDC funds are typically combined with Low Income Housing Tax Credits

The Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG) offers grants to small Missouri communities to improve local facilities, address critical health and safety concerns, and develop a greater capacity for growth. We offer funds for projects that can range from housing and street repairs to industrial loans and job training.

The Housing Assistance Council (HAC) has created the Green Building/Healthy Homes Initiative with generous support from the Home Depot Foundation.
